La FIFA utilizará rayos X
La FIFA anunció hoy que usará rayos X para determinar la edad de los jugadores que participen en el Mundial sub 17 de Nigeria a final de año.

FIFA (Federación Internacional de Fútbol Asociado) dijo que los jugadores serán seleccionados al azar y que los rayos x proyectados sobre sus muñecas determinarán con precisión su edad y evitarán así engaños.

El análisis no tiene ningún riesgo para la salud, según el ente. Sólo los jugadores nacidos después del 31 de diciembre de 1991 son elegibles para disputar el torneo. En eventos anteriores hubo acusaciones de engaño en la edad de los futbolistas, especialmente en los equipos africanos, que podrían haber seleccionado jugadores mayores a la edad permitida.
